Jared is an accomplished student, hockey player and driver.
He is a straight "A" student and a repeat Academic
All-Star in the Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey League. Jared
hopes that his hockey skills along with his academics
will help him earn scholarships to NCAA Division I schools.
Jared's hockey career started when his Grandmother
taught him how to roller skate at the tender age of 18
months and started ice skating at 4. By 4 1/2 he was playing
ice hockey in the Lawrence County Lightning Youth Hockey
Program. Now in his 9th season, Jared is now a defensemen
for the North Pittsburgh Wildcats, where he is a leader
on and off the ice. Over the years, he has helped lead
his teams to several tournament championship wins.

Jared has literally grown up in the pits just as his
mother and Uncle Shawn. First at the drag strips watching
his Grandfather (Doug) race, then at the dirt tracks watching
his uncle and finally taking to the track himself 5 years
ago in karts on asphalt and dirt. During this time he
has accumulated several wins and even more top 3 finishes
in 3 different classes. In 2006 Jared decided to join
the points race at a local track and ended up winning
his 1st Championship. He will not be returning to karts
in to 2007 season since he is physically too big for his
age group causing him to not be as competitive as before.
Look for Jared to come to a track near you in 2007.
